Draft minutes – April 24, 2014


  1. Minutes and Correspondence – Minutes from the March meeting were approved as written.

  1. Treasurer’s Report – Nancy reported that our current balance is $3702.96. Our down payment for the plant order was $517.60.

  1. Monitor Update – We have had the Lake Country Reporter do an article about the need for monitors. We have received positive response.  Jayne Jenks, Waukesha County Monitor Coordinator, was present to answer questions from monitoring teams. She will inventory equipment to see if the PRP could help with the purchase if needed.

  1. Old Business

    1. Protection Plan Update - The Protection plan is being reviewed by the DNR for final approval.

    1. Plant sale discussion – A signup sheet was sent around for the sale day.  Charlie reported that Lawns are Us would donate the use of a truck. John Burke also contacted Penske Trucking and they also offered the use of a truck. After discussion it was agreed to go with the Lawns are Us offer. Charlie will have posters made for common rain garden and butterfly plants.

    1. Review of mussel survey information – No information was submitted.

    1. Tree Removal Riverside Drive – Charlie reported that a couple of old guys had removed the tree.

  1. New Business

    1. Canoe Launch – After review of a letter drafted by Greg and Sarah about the potential for parking at the American Cancer Society, it was agreed that Charlie will sign and send off on the PRP’s letterhead.
